The Official Welcome Party is intentionally casual, created to allow Drifters and family members to comfortably transition from travel, refresh, and reconnect. This relaxed gathering at our host venue, Blue Chip Casino, offers the perfect space to settle in, greet familiar faces, and welcome new ones. No rushing, no formality, just sisterhood, laughter, and the comfort of knowing you’ve arrived exactly where you belong. Wear your matching Drifter shirts and enjoy relaxation games and fun. This evening is about easing into convention with open hearts, shared stories, and the unmistakable energy that only Drifter sisterhood brings—rooted in legacy and ready to sail forward together.

‘Anchored In Wellness: Sister to Sister Gathering” Sister to Sister Luncheon

This gathering centers on Minority Mental Health Awareness and on the health and well-being of Black women—mind, body, and spirit. Together, we create a safe and affirming space for dialogue, education, and empowerment while honoring outstanding sisters from each chapter. As we lift one another, we are reminded that caring for ourselves and each other strengthens the foundation of our sisterhood and ensures a healthier future for generations to come.

Drifting Together: A Beachside Sisterhood Soiree

We officially set sail on our convention journey Thursday evening with a relaxed, beachfront gathering at Washington Park. With sweeping views of Lake Michigan, walkable access to the beach, a free municipal band concert just steps away, this evening is designed for joy, ease, and connection. Dressed in Beach Chic attire, sisters will enjoy the beauty of our natural surroundings while easing into fellowship—anchored in legacy and ready to sail toward the days ahead.

This cherished moment offers us the opportunity to come together in faith, reflection, and gratitude as we celebrate the spiritual foundation that anchors our sisterhood.

Breakfast and lunch are included each day. Activities are centered around creativity, exploration, and play, featuring: Creative art activities and hands-on projects
Sports, games, and outdoor recreation
Group activities that encourage friendship and teamwork, and a field trip to Washington Park Zoo
